Pale cliffs in Fog

This summer we had the honor of joining two friends to celebrate their elopement with a picnic on a beach north of Santa Cruz. The day turned out to be quite foggy, but the cliffs and caves a short walk south of the main beach were quite lovely.

I was shooting Tmax 400 on my Canon AE-1, and while I think I generally prefer to only use this film pushed to 1600, it rendered the scenes in a lovely ethereal way on this foggy day.

There were some nice caves to explore, and although I think they probably get mostly used by teenagers in the evening, I could see bringing Hal back here to explore when he is a bit older.

Hal was, as usual, a little bit skeptical of the whole event, but enjoyed the view from Sarah’s back.
